Hans Mariacher was born and raised on a farm in a small province of Salzburg, Austria. A natural drive to learn was apparent at an early age and at fourteen, he was accepted into an apprenticeship in carpentry and woodworking. Only three years later, he completed the program with top marks. In 1972, he arrived in the United States knowing little English. With a small suitcase and little else, he would later discover that his most valuable asset was twenty-one years of hard work.
In 1979, Hanjo Contractors was quietly formed. In tune with nature, Hans taught and nurtured his team with principles of balance and growth. Understanding that anything worthwhile takes time, he accepted no shortcuts. With integrity and focus, he prepared his company for the steady growth of the industry.
In 2002, Hans’ son and daughter joined the team, merging a modernized vision with traditional standards of residential renovation. Adrian’s grasp on the trade is instantly recognizable, having several years of millwork training and onsite experience. Christine has dedicated many years to project management. Clients have come to rely on her visually trained eye as well as her command of space and design. Together they are an ambitious and devoted team whose commitment is evident in the company’s vitality and growing portfolio.
